The hotel is one of the original London Victorian hotels and was puropse built in 1876. The hotel is steeped in history and full of character. It combines contemporary comforts and amenities with quintessentially English décor and charm. In 2016, the hotel underwent a £8M renovation, restoring the original Victorian red brick townhouse features, including the lobby’s grand staircase, reception, restaurant/bar and each guest room has been finished for a home-away-from home feel. The hotel offers 4 different guestroom types (over 5 floors): City Gent, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kensington & the Great Exhibition and Henley Regatta's. All rooms are fitted with a international adapters which include USB power-sockets. Gloucester Road underground station is located right in front of the hotel. The distance to Royal Albert Hall, Natural History Museum and Kensington Palace is only a 10 minute walk away.
