Private hires, including Meetings
1.1 Arrival time. All events should start within 15 minutes of the agreed time. Failure to do so may result in the client being re-allocated a new time slot or treated as a cancellation. All bookings should end, and the room or tables should be vacated, within 15 minutes of the end time agreed by the Osborne Hotel.
1.2 Terms of hire. The nature of the reservation, the name of the client and the name of the person responsible for payment if different from the person making the reservation, should be notified to The Osborne Hotel at the time of the booking. The Osborne Hotel may, with absolute discretion and without giving any reason, refuse to let the premises to the client should the actual nature of the function be different from that declared. The Osborne Hotel reserves the right to increase the private facility hire charge should the nature of the event or the number of guests expected alter significantly.
1.3 Final Number of Confirmation. The Osborne Hotel will submit all quotations based on the estimated number of persons who will attend the event. Final numbers are required 14 days prior to the event. Once final numbers have been confirmed, this is the minimum number of guests that will be charged for at the agreed menu price on the day. All final numbers will be accepted in writing only. Any changes to number of people attending should be communicated to the Events Manager as soon as possible or to the Duty Manager in their absence. Any increase in numbers will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
1.4 Terms of Deposit. The Osborne Hotel will notify the client of the deposit required and the date payment is due. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. If the deposit has not been received by the date specified, the Osborne Hotel has the right to cancel the booking.
